Warnbro Beach Rockingham Western Australia

Warnbro Beach

Warnbro Sound Beach

To get to Warnbro beach you would have to drive along Safety Bay Road; to gain access to Safety Bay Road you would drive to the end of the freeway heading south from our capital city Perth. This freeway is called the Kwinana freeway. If you were driving from our city it would take you 30 to 40 minutes depending on the traffic.

Hint for traffic conditions; do not drive in peak times if you do not have to.Peak times are from 7am to 9am and 3.30 pm to 6pm Monday to Friday. I'm not saying that our freeway is bad but if you get caught in the peak hour traffic your trip to Rockingham will be twice as long.

The beach itself is long and has curved look when viewing the beach from other parts of Safety Bay. To view what I mean just drive down Safety Bay Road heading towards Penguin Island and stop at the Safety Bay foreshore reserve, you will see it as you drive along because it's always green with large pine trees and it's about 1 to 2 kilometers in length, running besides the beach.

Warnbro beach is also known for it fishing, reports of large fish been caught from Warnbro beach on a good night are common, be prepared for a long night if you are planning to fish here. During the day Warnbro beach shines in some parts as the sand is bright and shinny from the sun, the sand hills are great fun for the kids; it is a good place to get out of the wind. Besides that, Warnbro beach is a great place to be in the summer time.

The beach is also very quiet and its not as crowded as some of the Perth beaches. Warnbro beach is good family fun.
If you plan to come to Warnbro beach you can ride your bicycle along most of the coastline. The path runs from as far as Palm Beach all the way down to the Port Kennedy foreshore near the Port Kennedy golf course.

If you're wondering if you can bring your four-legged friend, yes you can, there are areas where dogs are permitted to run. If you plan to bring your pet to the Warnbro beach you can access the beach by driving to Shelton St or ST Malo Cove Warnbro.

Warnbro beach is also with in the Shoal Water Islands Marine Park and is also known as Warnbro Sound.
